A seasoned hospitality professional with a well-rounded understanding of the food industry, I bring a wealth of experience in kitchen management, catering, product development, training, and sales. Throughout my career, I have successfully operated my own business, managed high-performing culinary teams, and provided innovative food solutions that align with industry best practices.
During my tenure at Vulcan Catering, I honed my expertise as a product developer, trainer, and consultant, equipping chefs and businesses with industry-leading knowledge. My experience spans corporate catering, hotel and restaurant management, private and celebrity dining, as well as large-scale event planning. My ability to merge culinary creativity with operational excellence allows me to optimize efficiency while delivering high-quality guest experiences.
Currently, as a Executive Chef / Unit Manager for the Emact Group. I oversee daily front- and back-of-house operations, ensuring seamless service, kitchen efficiency, and exceptional customer satisfaction. Prior to this, I served as a Franchise Support Coordinator at Salsa Mexican Grill under Famous Brands Limited, where I provided operational support to a network of 10 restaurants nationwide, spearheading menu development, in-store training, and franchise optimization strategies.
In addition to my hands-on experience, I hold a Hospitality Services Certificate/Diploma (N4, N5, N6) from Central JHB College FET, where I served as the Interim SRC President. I have further strengthened my business acumen with certificates in Entrepreneurship & Small Venture Management, Sales & Marketing, and Operations Management. My commitment to excellence in food safety is demonstrated through certifications in HACCP Food Safety Management Systems, R638 Food Safety Regulation, and Pre-Requisite Programs for Food Safety Management Systems.
Recognized for my leadership and contributions to the hospitality industry, I was honored with the RASA Rosetta Award for Service Excellence in 2019. My expertise in diverse cooking styles, operational technology, and team leadership positions me as a valuable asset to any hospitality-driven organization.
