Good day,
Hospitality is my passion, and I have extensive experience across all sectors of the industry. My preferred roles include General, Operations, Lodge, Assistant Lodge, and Events Management, although I also have substantial experience in Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, Front Office/Reception, and Maintenance Management.
I have recently been consulting within the hospitality sector and am now eager to return to a permanent leadership position.
In my consultancy work, I’ve focused on identifying operational challenges, developing tailored strategies, and introducing effective controls to help Lodges, Big 5 Properties, Boutique Hotels, Guest Houses, and Restaurants operate more efficiently.
Some of my key contributions include:
– Developing comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each department.
– Training hospitality staff using these SOPs, with a strong emphasis on Housekeeping and Food & Beverage.
– Assisting with menu planning and development, including Wine and Gin Pairing, as well as restaurant floor planning and layout.
– Creating engaging children’s activities to enhance the guest experience.
– Implementing Health and Safety protocols for Food & Beverage operations and Game Lodges.
– Establishing effective guest orientation procedures tailored to different types of venues.
– Promoting a consistent “guest-centric” culture from check-in to check-out.
– Optimizing departmental budgets and stock control systems.
– Developing and implementing evacuation procedures where needed.
These initiatives have helped improve both efficiency and guest satisfaction in the properties I’ve supported.
I am now seeking a Senior Management role—ideally a long-term, live-in position at a Lodge, Boutique Hotel, or Guesthouse—where I can bring my experience, leadership, and passion for hospitality excellence to a dedicated team.
