About Me

●  Promptly greet and acknowledge all guests, welcoming them upon arrival and seat them , take food and beverage orders in a polite and friendly manner, promptly and professionally serve food and drinks to guests, providing detailed information on menus, collecting the bills ensuring requests and queries are responded to in a timely and friendly.

●  Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software, order slips or by memorization and offer menu recommendations upon request.

●  Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)

●  Answering questions and providing suggestions on food and beverages options to guests and ensure customer satisfaction from arrival to departure by having a natural, warm smile and a friendly and passionate approach towards guest.

●  Prepare tables by setting up linens, pre bussing, check drink levels, silverware and glasses and arrange table settings and maintain a clean dining area while meeting established sanitation standards.

●  Describe the selection of food and beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting and vivid descriptions of each item’s origin, taste, and preparation methods, communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point of sales system.

●  Refreshes tables, transports dirty dishes, and communicates with host regarding guest seating, table arrangement, and table turnover and ensure guests feel catered to and appreciated at all times.

●  Coordinate food timings and check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order, transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.

●  Enters order into point of sale system, maintains accurate guests cover counts, totals receipts correctly, verifies sales, and collects payment for all food and beverages served.

●  Prepare the bills for beverages and meals ordered, take the cash, credit or debit cards, traveler’s cheques or room billings and make change, and then balance daily transactions.

●  Stock and Replenish private bar items and compute and relay guest charges accurately to the front office and present check for payment.

●  Communicate and work effectively with other teams, ensure that management and kitchen colleagues are informed of any special guest preferences to ensure every guest leaves with the desire to return.

●  Inform customers about the day’s specials and offer menu recommendations upon request and deliver checks and collect bill payments and promptly addresses complaints or issues relays relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor.

●  Check customers IDs to ensure they meet minimum age required for consumption of alcoholic beverages and communicate directly with back of the house staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly and special requests are recommended.

●  Ensure that the dining room is properly set up before and after the service period, keeps area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standard.

●  Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning and provide excellent customer service to guests and conserve all outlet equipment and utensils in good conditions by proper day to day handling of all applicable utensils.

●  Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties), present check for payment and provide change as needed while following up on guest dining experience and making note of any improvements required to report to management.
