About Me
Ø Welcome and greet guests according to the standards to ensure superior service, taking drinks and food orders from guests to ascertain satisfaction, staying attentive to the needs of guests in the dining area
Ø Preparing tables for meals, and setting up items like linen, silverware, and glassware in restaurant according to the table plan, cover layout and standards defined by the hotels management
Ø Serving food and beverages to patrons, asking customers if they are satisfied with their meal, prepare and serve specialty dishes at tables as required, cash up bills and ensure that the correct amount has been paid, removing dishes and glasses from tables or counters and take them to kitchen for cleaning.
Ø Maintain all type of silverware and E.P.N.S ware (electro plated nickel silver) used in the restaurant for food and beverage service.
Ø Coordinate food timings and check completed kitchen orders with guest’s original order, transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
Ø Escorting customers to their tables, explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods, informing guests of daily specials.
Ø Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software, order slips or by memorization.
Ø Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems, arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area.
Ø Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions and respond urgently and appropriately to guest checks, process cash and credit card payments settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
Ø Ensure that an absolute degree of courteousness and warmth is maintained when conversing with the guest.
Ø Check customers IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages and communicate order details to the kitchen staff
Ø Communicate and work effectively with other teams to ensure every guest leaves with the desire to return.
Ø Presenting menus to guests and answering questions about menu items, sharing additional information with restaurant patrons, ingredients or potential food allergies, daily specialties and making recommendations upon request
Ø Attending to customer requests and complaints, checking guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
Ø Preparing bills and payment processes to guests, take the cash and make change, and then balance daily transactions
Ø Record transactions in the micros system correctly and timely, note down outlet reservation in the reservation register of each closed outlet.
Ø Re-arranging of tables after use by guests
