Throughout my 8+ years of experience as General Manager in dynamic world of hospitality, I have established and led highly skilled team to achieve both performance and profitability goals. Through team leadership and building strong relationships with executive management, I significantly impacted bottom-line performance wherever I have worked. I have also been recognized for excellent staff training and leadership capabilities, ensuring employees exceed customer expectations while adhering to regulatory or organizational policies.
My experience also encompasses project management, strategic planning, resource utilisation, revenue growth, and cost reduction. My ability to analyse needs and create unique solutions designed to yield a profitable outcome has proven to be one of my greatest assets. Part of the project management and strategic planning, I completed month end reports for head office and the owners of the hotels. The monthly reports included financial results of the hotel comparison to budgets, revenue, sales and marketing action plan for the remaining year, improvements to the hotel, employee training, and guest feedback. Furthermore, with the assistance of the Managers and Financial Controller, the budget was completed with the 5 year capex plan for the hotel.
In addition to my experience, I hold an Honours Degree in Hospitality Management from Thames Valley University in London while working full time, as well as a National Diploma in Hotel Management, South Africa.
