About the Role:
As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the senior chefs in all aspects of food preparation and kitchen operations within a refined, fast-paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a prestigious venue and elevate your culinary career in the Middle East.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of all dishes according to recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all hygiene standards are met.
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily tasks and mise en place.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Ensure all food is stored and handled correctly to minimize waste.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient kitchen environment.
Requirements:
- Certificate/diploma in Culinary arts from a recognized Institute
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Commis Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel.
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations and culinary techniques.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Presentable appearance, positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to handle pressure and multitask in a busy environment.
