Head Chef – Iranian/Iraqi Cuisine | Saudi Arabia | Hospitality Group

A leading luxury hospitality group in Saudi Arabia is seeking a talented and visionary HEAD CHEF specializing in Iranian and Iraqi Cuisine. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned culinary professional who not only masters exquisite flavors and traditional techniques but also possesses a remarkable flair for presentation and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all daily kitchen operations for the Iranian/Iraqi cuisine section, ensuring the highest standards of quality, authenticity, and hygiene.
  • Prepare and execute a wide range of traditional and contemporary Iranian and Iraqi dishes, including but not limited to stews (khoresh), kebabs, rice dishes (polo), appetizers (mezze), and breads.
  • Develop and create visually appealing presentations for all dishes, enhancing the overall dining experience while maintaining cultural authenticity.
  • Innovate and adapt classic recipes to meet modern tastes and dietary requirements, without compromising traditional flavors.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering skill development, adherence to recipes, and a positive, respectful work environment.
  • Contribute to the creation of seasonal and special event menus, incorporating Iranian/Iraqi culinary traditions and aligning with business objectives.
  • Conduct research and development for new recipes and techniques specific to Iranian and Iraqi cuisine, staying abreast of regional variations and trends.
  • Monitor inventory, manage stock, and implement robust cost control measures to optimize kitchen profitability for the assigned section.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a pristine and compliant kitchen area.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment for all culinary team members.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8+ years’ progressive experience in high-volume, luxury hotel or fine-dining kitchens, with a significant portion dedicated to Iranian and/or Iraqi cuisine.
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or highly skilled Sous Chef specializing in authentic Iranian/Iraqi cuisine within an upscale environment.
  • Exceptional expertise in all aspects of Iranian and Iraqi culinary production, including traditional cooking methods, spice blending, and ingredient sourcing.
  • Demonstrable creativity and a strong understanding of presentation while respecting the integrity of traditional dishes.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with a proven ability to motivate, manage, and inspire a culinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with other departments and interacting with guests.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
  • Highly creative, innovative, and detail-oriented, with an unwavering commitment to culinary excellence and authenticity.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and a drive to exceed guest expectations.
  • Ability to adapt to new trends and techniques while preserving traditional methods.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
Salary Package
  • SAR 15 – 20 000 CTC
