Pastry Sous Chef | Saudi Arabia | Hospitality Group
A leading luxury hospitality group in Saudi Arabia is seeking a talented and artistic PASTRY SOUS CHEF to elevate their dessert offerings. This is a unique opportunity for a culinary professional who not only masters exquisite flavors and textures but also possesses a remarkable flair for visual artistry
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pastry section operations, ensuring high standards of quality and hygiene.
- Prepare and execute a wide range of luxury desserts, pastries, and confections.
- Develop and create intricate and visually stunning pastry artwork and showpieces.
- Innovate new artistic concepts to enhance dessert presentation.
- Supervise, train, and mentor junior pastry chefs, fostering team growth.
- Contribute to the creation of seasonal and special event dessert menus.
- Conduct research and development for new recipes and artistic techniques.
- Monitor inventory, manage stock, and assist in cost control.
- Ensure strict adherence to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ progressive experience in high-volume, luxury hotel or fine-dining pastry kitchens.
- Proven experience as a Pastry Sous Chef or highly skilled Senior Pastry Chef in a similar environment.
- Exceptional expertise in all aspects of pastry production.
- Demonstrable artistic talent and a strong portfolio of intricate pastry artwork, showpieces, and dessert plating.
- Proficiency in various artistic mediums applicable to pastry (e.g., sugar work, chocolate sculpting, edible painting).
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, able to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional qualification in Pastry Art
- Highly creative, innovative, and detail-oriented.
- Passion for excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ability to adapt to new trends and techniques.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
