Café Manager | Café | Seychelles
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on CAFÉ MANAGER to join a well-established café in Victoria, Mahe, Seychelles.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who enjoys being involved in the daily operation, leading a team and creating a welcoming experience for guests.
Located in Victoria, the capital of Seychelles, this position offers an opportunity to take your hospitality career abroad while enjoying the lifestyle of one of the world’s most distinctive island destinations.
This is a hands-on management role, so we are looking for someone who is happy to lead from the floor rather than manage from behind a desk.
Key Responsibilities
As Café Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the café
- Leading, supervising and motivating the front-of-house team
- Ensuring consistently professional and friendly customer service
- Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and organisation
- Monitoring the customer experience and addressing concerns professionally
- Assisting the team during busy service periods
- Ensuring staff are properly prepared for each shift
- Helping to train and develop team members
- Monitoring staff performance and service standards
- Coordinating daily opening and closing procedures
- Ensuring that operational procedures are followed consistently
- Working closely with the kitchen and other operational departments
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with stock control
- Helping to minimise wastage and unnecessary operational costs
- Ensuring products and service are presented to the required standard
- Handling customer feedback and resolving service issues
- Supporting management with general operational requirements
- Maintaining a positive, professional and productive working environment
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a candidate with previous supervisory or management experience within a café, restaurant or similar hospitality environment.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience in café or restaurant operations
- Have experience supervising or managing a hospitality team
- Be confident working directly with customers
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be organised and able to prioritise tasks effectively
- Be comfortable working in a hands-on operational position
- Have good attention to detail
- Understand the importance of excellent customer service
- Be able to remain calm and professional during busy periods
- Be able to motivate and support team members
- Have a positive and practical approach to problem-solving
- Take pride in maintaining high operational standards
- Be comfortable working in a multicultural environment
- Be willing and able to relocate to Seychelles
- Be available to join as soon as possible
Salary and Benefits
Salary: ZAR 14,000 net per month (+/- USD 800)
In addition to the net salary:
- Accommodation is provided
- Work visa is provided
- Flight to Seychelles is provided
- return flights home on the completion of every contract
