An exciting opportunity is available for a professional HOSTESS to join a leading Hospitality Group in Kuwait, offering excellent international experience.
The successful candidate will be one of the first points of contact for guests and will therefore play an important role in creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere. We are looking for someone who is naturally friendly, confident when communicating with guests and able to maintain a calm and positive attitude in a busy restaurant environment.
This position would suit a candidate who already has some experience working as a Hostess or in a similar front-of-house hospitality role. Candidates at the beginning of their hospitality career who demonstrate the right personality, communication skills and professional appearance will also be considered.
Hostess – Key Responsibilities
- greeting guests on arrival,
- assisting with seating arrangements,
- managing guest enquiries and providing information when required
- work closely with the restaurant service team to help ensure guests are seated efficiently and receive attentive service from the moment they arrive
- expected to maintain a professional and welcoming presence throughout your shift while ensuring that the entrance and reception area remain organised and presentable
- good communication with colleagues and supervisors, particularly during busy service periods
- comfortable interacting with guests from different countries and cultures and be able to communicate clearly and respectfully at all times.
Hostess – Candidate Requirements
- experience in working in European countries
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the same or a similar hospitality role
- Previous restaurant, hotel, café or F&B experience will be an advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, positive and respectful attitude
- Professional personal presentation
- Strong awareness of personal hygiene and grooming
- Disciplined and reliable approach to work
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
- Guest-focused personality with a genuine interest in customer service
- Ability to work as part of a multicultural team
- Willingness to relocate to Kuwait
Personal Qualities
- You should have a naturally welcoming manner and enjoy interacting with people. A Hostess is often responsible for creating the guest’s first impression of a restaurant, so a positive attitude, warm personality and professional approach are essential.
- You should also understand the importance of discipline within the hospitality industry. This includes punctuality, attendance, following workplace procedures, maintaining grooming standards and treating guests and colleagues with respect.
- Good communication skills are particularly important. You should be able to listen carefully, respond politely to questions and communicate effectively with both guests and members of the restaurant team.
Candidates considering relocation should be adaptable, open-minded and comfortable living and working outside their home country. The successful Hostess will be expected to represent the restaurant professionally and consistently maintain excellent standards of guest service, personal presentation and workplace conduct.
Salary
- basic KWD 300–350 per month
