Sales Assistant | V&A Waterfront | Fashion Retailer
We are looking for passionate, energetic, and confident SALES ASSISTANT to drive positive energy and excitement around our brand and products in V&A Waterfront. The position will start off as a temporary Sales Assistant but can become permanent based on performance. We are looking for Sales Assistants that will offer excellent customer service and be proud to be part of our brand and company.
Duties & Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through world class sales service
• Drive and deliver sales targets
• Maintain outstanding store conditions, uphold visual merchandising standards to optimise sales
• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants and recommend items for sale
• Proactively meet, greet, and assist customers
• Assist and resolve customer queries
• Work on point-of-sale and ensure accurate processing of payments
• Ensure stock is always packed neat and products merchandised
• Remain updated on product information, answer questions and address concerns
• Accurately describe product features and benefits
• Inform customer about product promotions
• Create an inspiring and positive work environment
Behavioural attributes required:
• Must be presentable and a good representation of the brand
• Excellent communication skills, proficient in English
• Must be trustworthy
• Must have reliable transport and not have an issue getting to and from V&A Waterfront, to arrive before 9am and leave 9.10pm

• Enjoy dealing with customers

• Must be flexible to work in other stores as / when required
Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years Sales or Customer service experience essential, preferably in the retail industry
• Matric
• Clear Credit and Criminal record
• Knowledge of various POS and stock management systems
Salary: R49.75 per hour + sales incentives (store target driven)
Start 1 June as Temp position with opportunity to become permanent based on performance
