Swim Coach | Kuwait Fitness Complex

Join a leading fitness complex in Kuwait as a SWIM COACH and help swimmers of different abilities develop their skills, confidence and performance.

We are currently recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic Swim Coach to a well-established fitness complex in Kuwait.

We are looking for a coach with strong technical swimming knowledge, excellent communication skills and previous coaching experience. A background as a competitive swimmer will be a significant advantage.

Swim Coach – Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver structured swimming training programs for individual swimmers and groups according to their abilities, goals and development needs.
  • Provide professional instruction in swimming techniques, strokes, starts, turns, breathing techniques and overall water skills.
  • Conduct swimming assessments to identify individual strengths and areas that require further development.
  • Create personalised training plans for swimmers who require more focused performance development.
  • Plan and supervise regular swimming sessions while maintaining a professional, positive and supportive training environment.
  • Ensure that all swimming activities are conducted with a strong focus on safety and appropriate swimming pool procedures.
  • Motivate swimmers and encourage them to work consistently towards their individual swimming and fitness goals.
  • Observe swimmers during training sessions and provide clear, constructive and encouraging feedback.
  • Monitor individual progress and adjust training programs where necessary to support continued improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to attendance, swimmer development, assessments and achievements.
  • Provide progress feedback to parents, swimmers and management where required.
  • Help swimmers develop correct techniques while maintaining appropriate training intensity for their individual level.
  • Support competitive swimmers with structured training programs designed to improve technique, conditioning and overall performance.
  • Work closely with other coaches, fitness professionals and staff to provide a consistent and professional experience for members.
  • Assist with the coordination of swimming activities, training sessions and competitions when required.
  • Maintain a professional approach when communicating with swimmers, parents, colleagues and management.
  • Keep knowledge of swimming techniques, coaching methods, conditioning principles and safety practices up to date.
  • Promote good sportsmanship, discipline, confidence and a positive attitude among swimmers.
Swim Coach – Requirements
  • Previous professional experience working as a Swim Coach or in a similar swimming instruction position.
  • Competitive swimming experience at a professional or advanced level is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge and practical understanding of swimming strokes, techniques and training methodologies.
  • Good understanding of strength and conditioning principles relevant to swimming.
  • Ability to assess swimmers’ abilities and identify areas where technical or physical improvement is required.
  • Ability to develop appropriate training plans for swimmers with different levels of experience.
  • Strong observational skills with the ability to provide practical and constructive feedback.
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to explain techniques in a clear and understandable way.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with swimmers, parents and colleagues.
  • A recognised swimming coaching qualification such as ASCA, USSA or another relevant certification is highly preferred.
  • Lifeguard certification would be advantageous.
  • First Aid and CPR knowledge or certification would be an advantage.
  • A professional, responsible and safety-conscious approach to work is essential.
  • Candidates must be comfortable working with swimmers of different abilities and experience levels.
  • Ability to motivate individuals and groups while maintaining a positive coaching environment.
  • Flexibility to work according to swimming schedules, which may include evenings and weekends.
  • Candidates must hold a passport that is valid for at least 24 months.

  • Basic salary up to KWD 800
