Barista | Busy Coffee Shop in Qatar
We are recruiting an experienced and energetic BARISTA for a busy coffee shop in Qatar.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has a genuine passion for coffee, and takes pride in delivering friendly and efficient customer service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages while maintaining excellent standards of presentation, cleanliness, consistency, and customer care.
Barista – Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages to the required standards
- Preparing espresso-based drinks.
- Preparing teas, cold beverages and other drinks offered by the coffee shop
- Operating professional coffee machines and relevant beverage preparation equipment
- Ensuring beverages are prepared consistently and presented professionally
- Taking customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Providing friendly, attentive and professional service to every customer
- Answering customer questions regarding beverages and menu items
- Maintaining an organised and efficient workstation throughout the shift
- Monitoring coffee, milk, syrups, cups and other operating supplies
- Replenishing the workstation when necessary
- Following correct food hygiene, cleanliness and sanitation procedures
- Cleaning coffee machines, equipment, counters and work areas
- Handling guest requests and concerns professionally
- Supporting colleagues during busy service periods
- Following operational procedures and service standards
- Assisting with opening and closing duties as required
- Helping create a welcoming and positive environment for customers
- Working efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and beverage quality
- Supporting the wider coffee shop team whenever operationally required
Barista – Requirements
- Previous professional experience as a Barista
- Experience working in a busy coffee shop, café, restaurant, hotel, bakery or similar hospitality environment
- Good knowledge of coffee preparation and espresso-based beverages
- Practical experience using professional espresso machines
- The ability to prepare beverages quickly without compromising quality
- Good customer service and communication skills
- A friendly, approachable and professional personality
- Good personal presentation and grooming standards
- The ability to remain calm and organised during busy service periods
- Strong attention to detail
- Good teamwork skills
- The ability to follow instructions and established operating procedures
- A responsible and reliable approach to work
- The ability to maintain a clean and hygienic workstation
- Flexibility to work according to operational requirements, including shifts where required
- Good spoken English to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
What is on offer:
- Salary – QAR 4,000 total package per month OR QAR 2500 as basic + accommodation and transport provided
- Visa and joining flight to Qatar
