Barista | Cape Town | Specialty Coffee Café
We are looking for a BARISTA to join the team at a vibrant café in Kenilworth, Cape Town. This role is perfectly suited to someone who is technically skilled, thrives in a lively service environment, and genuinely enjoys connecting with guests over exceptional coffee.
Core Responsibilities
- Coffee Craft: Prepare espresso and milk-based beverages with precision, consistency, and respect for the character of the bean.
- Guest Engagement: Welcome guests warmly, guiding them through the coffee offering when appropriate and sharing insight into flavor profiles and preparation.
- Station Care: Keep the coffee station organized, clean, and efficient at all times.
- Operations & Standards: Contribute to the professional, relaxed atmosphere of the café through thoughtful and detailed service.
Who We’re Looking For
- Experience: Proven barista experience within a quality café or restaurant environment.
- Skillset: Confident, attentive, and technically skilled behind the machine.
- Passion for Coffee: Pride in consistency, flavor balance, and elegant presentation.
- Service Minded: Friendly, warm, and attentive without being overbearing.
- Detail Focused: Dedicated to workflow precision, clean stations, and high standards.
- Calm Under Pressure: Able to maintain quality and consistency during busy service periods.
