Housekeeper | Private House in Sea Point
A wonderful opportunity is available for an experienced HOUSEKEEPER to join a private household in Sea Point, Cape Town.
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and professional individual who takes pride in maintaining a beautifully presented home and delivering consistently high standards of housekeeping.
The successful candidate will become part of a small household team supporting a family of three in a large private residence. This role is ideally suited to someone with previous experience in a private household, luxury residence, boutique hotel, guesthouse, or hospitality environment who understands the importance of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail.
The home requires ongoing care and meticulous attention to cleanliness, organisation, and presentation. Every area of the residence must be maintained to an exceptional standard, ensuring a welcoming and guest-ready environment at all times.
Housekeeper – Key Responsibilities
As the Housekeeper, your duties will include:
- Performing daily housekeeping duties to a consistently high standard
- Maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and presentation throughout the home
- Caring for household furnishings, fittings, finishes, and equipment
- Completing laundry duties, including washing, ironing, folding, and garment care
- Following structured cleaning schedules, checklists, and household procedures
- Ensuring guest-facing areas are always immaculate and ready for use
- Assisting with the upkeep of luxury surfaces and high-end finishes
- Interacting professionally and courteously with household members and guests
- Working collaboratively with another Housekeeper as part of a two-person team
- Reporting housekeeping matters as required and communicating effectively within the household team
Housekeeper – Candidate Requirements
Experience
- Previous housekeeping experience within a private household, luxury residence, or hospitality environment
- Practical laundry experience and knowledge of garment care
- Experience maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- A South African ID or valid work permit or legal right to work in South Africa

Working Environment
This is a live-out position located in Sea Point, Cape Town. The successful candidate must either have their own reliable transport or be fully comfortable using public transport to travel to and from work. Candidates must also be willing to work within Cape Town and surrounding areas when required.
Position Details
- Location: Sea Point, Cape Town
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Working Hours: 8 hours per day
- Working Days: 5 to 6 days per week
- Salary: R9,000 to R11,000 per month, depending on experience
- Accommodation: Live-out position
- Start Date: October 2026
- Probation Period: 3 months
