Waiters | Cape Town | Premium Casual Dining
As an established, fast-expanding Johannesburg hospitality group prepares to launch its premier seafront restaurant concept in Mouille Point, we are recruiting an energetic, professional team of WAITERS.
You will be the core driver of our guest experience—delivering charismatic service, deep product knowledge, and seamless table management during our September pre-opening prep and October grand launch.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Excellence & Guest Experience:
- Welcome guests warmly, present menus, and articulate food and beverage offerings with passion and confidence.
- Drive upselling by guiding guests through daily specials, wine pairings, and signature dishes.
- Deliver fast, attentive, and detailed floor service from greeting to final bill presentation.
- Floor & Table Operations:
- Manage assigned sections efficiently during high-volume meal periods.
- Use the POS system accurately to place orders and process cash/card payments.
- Clear, clean, and reset tables swiftly to maintain flow and room presentation.
- Team Synergy:
- Work closely with the kitchen pass, bar team, and floor managers to maintain smooth service pacing.
- Attend daily pre-shift briefings and ongoing menu training sessions.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of waitering experience in a busy, upmarket casual or fine-dining restaurant setup.
- Knowledge: Sound understanding of food, wine, and basic spirit service.
- Personality: Charismatic, energetic, articulate, and passionate about hospitality.
- Attributes: High attention to detail, strong multi-tasking skills, neat professional appearance, and composure under pressure.
Salary package: Market related
Start: September for October opening.
