Breakfast Chef de Partie | Cape Town | Boutique Hotel & Restaurant
We’re seeking a talented BREAKFAST CHEF DE PARTIE to join the culinary team at a new boutique hotel opening in Mouille Point, Cape Town. The hotel’s restaurant will showcase modern Greek and contemporary Mediterranean cuisine, offering guests and patrons a premium dining experience.
The ideal candidate will bring reliability, technical skill, and a passion for breakfast service, with proven ability in hot and cold preparation, artisanal bakery, and creative plating. Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and consistency are essential to deliver excellence.
Experience & Qualifications
- Breakfast expertise in hot and cold service, artisanal breads, and plated dishes
- Modern Greek cuisine knowledge, including mezze-inspired breakfast options and Mediterranean flavors
- Bakery and pastry skills for viennoiserie, laminated doughs, and signature breakfast pastries
- Premium dining background preferred, with strong presentation and culinary discipline
- Ability to manage a breakfast section independently while supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef
Key Responsibilities
- Breakfast section management: Oversee your assigned section during breakfast service with precision and efficiency
- Food preparation: Execute hot and cold breakfast dishes to the highest standard in line with the restaurant’s modern Greek and Mediterranean concept
- Quality control: Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and hygiene across all breakfast offerings
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Sous Chef, Head Chef, and brigade to deliver seamless service
- Innovation: Contribute creative ideas for seasonal breakfast menus and signature dishes
- Guest satisfaction: Enhance the boutique hotel’s luxury positioning through exceptional breakfast experiences
Salary Package
- R12 – 15 000, depending on experience and skills – no additional benefits
