Chartered Accountant | JHB | Premium Hospitality Group
A prominent and growing hospitality group is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT to join their finance team. Based at the group’s Head Office in Wynberg, JHB, this role is central to the financial management of a diverse portfolio of restaurants.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the financial health of the business, providing strategic insights to support the group’s continued expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, and consolidated reports for the group.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the full accounting function, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and forecast cash flow across multiple restaurant units to ensure optimal liquidity.
- Budgeting & Variance Analysis: Coordinate the annual budgeting process and provide detailed analysis of budget-vs-actual performance.
- Tax & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, and other relevant statutory requirements and filings.
- Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust financial controls and systems to safeguard company assets and mitigate risk.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Registered Chartered Accountant (CA) – non neg.
- Experience: 2–4 years of post-article experience, preferably within the retail, FMCG, or hospitality sectors.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Xero, or Sage).
- Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong ethical standards, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Availability: Immediate joiners will be given preference.
