Tourism General Manager | Mozambique | Gorongosa National Park
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic TOURISM GENERAL MANAGER to oversee day-to-day tourism operations in one of Africa’s most iconic and fast-growing safari destinations. This high-profile role is pivotal in shaping world-class guest experiences while maintaining a deep commitment to conservation and community development in a remote, pristine wilderness environment.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Tourism General Manager will be responsible for operational excellence across all departments, including guest services, accommodations, food and beverage, and maintenance. You will implement management systems to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes in a challenging remote setting.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in a senior management role within the safari tourism industry
- Technical Expertise: Proven track record of managing seasonal safari activities, such as camp construction/deconstruction and vehicle maintenance schedules.
- Operational Skill: Direct experience designing and implementing safari-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), performance standards, and protocols in remote wilderness locations.
- Profile: Energetic candidate capable of thriving in a demanding environment.
- Values: A demonstrable love of the environment and a strong commitment to conservation and community engagement principles.

- Salary USD net 4500 – 5500
